I. Teach About Wickedness

· Define the Sin: Clearly identify the specific sin (e.g., adultery, addiction, greed).
· Expose its Nature: Explain why it is an act of rebellion and wickedness against God, not just a mistake.
· Reveal the Heart Issue: Connect the external sin to the internal condition of the human heart (lust, idolatry, selfishness).

II. Salvation is in Christ Alone

· Declare the Problem's Solution: State unequivocally that no amount of human effort can solve the sin problem.
· Point to the Cross: Explicitly name Jesus Christ's death and resurrection as the only sufficient payment for that sin.
· Offer the Invitation: Clearly explain that forgiveness and freedom are received through faith in Christ alone.

III. The Risk of Rejecting God's Grace

· State the Consequence: Explicitly name the eternal risk of rejecting Christ: judgment and hell.
· Issue the Warning: Warn against the deception of presuming upon God's grace or delaying repentance.
· Urge a Decision: Emphasize the urgency of responding to the gospel now, while the opportunity exists.

IV. Teaching About the Word of God

· Prescribe the Antidote: Present the Bible as God's essential tool for ongoing transformation and protection.
· Provide a Memory Verse: Give one clear, direct scripture that reinforces the central message of the sermon.

V. Prayer

· Sentence 1: Address and Adoration: Approach God, acknowledging who He is.
· Sentence 2: Confession and Petition: Specifically ask for forgiveness and for the strength to overcome the discussed sin.
· Sentence 3: Submission and Closing: Submit to God's will and close in the authority of Jesus' name.
