How One Becomes a Believer

We baptize believers, preach to them the Word of God (calling them to repentance, warning of the penalty of sin, and proclaiming the gift of God through Christ Jesus), and marry them, the church, to Christ, the Bride, by asking, "Do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?" They then commit to a life of repentance—living holy, set apart, obedient, and submitted to Christ.

Becoming a disciple takes time, just as learning to be a fisher of men does.

As a Disciple, One Must:

- Fast

- Read the Word of God daily (as part of devotion)

- Fellowship with other believers

- Pray continually

- Worship in spirit and truth

How One Is Born Again

- Drink the cup of suffering (embracing trials for Christ’s sake)

- Deny the flesh and live by the Word of God

- Avoid seeking comfort in worldly things

- Surrender fully to God, abandoning old ways and the ways of "Egypt" (the world)

- Be sanctified by the Word of God daily
