A defiled heart is an entry point for control by unclean spirits, just as a corrupted mind exposes you to demonic manipulation (Matthew 12:43-45; Romans 1:28). Disobedience to God's commands makes you vulnerable to profound deceit, and loving your own life or desires above Christ opens the door to betrayal, epitomized by the spirit of Judas (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11; John 12:25). While we are called to resist this spirit, any believer under its persecution must urgently consecrate themselves to God (James 4:7-8). Your heart serves as a test of faithfulness. Failure in this test may require you to win back your testimony through enduring suffering, as Peter did after his denial (John 21:15-19). For we are truly saved by grace through faith in Christ Yeshua—this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). Yet, this very faith must be proven genuine through faithfulness; without such proof, there can be no assurance of salvation nor any capacity to bear the authentic fruits of the Spirit (James 2:17; John 15:5-6).

You cannot overcome the Judas spirit without worship like Job or devotion like Peter.
