Ruling could be compared to painting. Yet, the Holiness of the Painter is the crucial qualifier that elevates ruling from mere artistry to sacred redemption. This Holy Painter does not simply arrange pre-existing light and dark with neutral mastery; His very nature of pure light fundamentally defines and opposes the dark as a foreign stain upon the creation. His brushstroke of Judgment is thus an act of profound integrity, the necessary rejection of what violates the sacred canvas. Yet, in His grace, Holiness performs its most miraculous work: it enters the darkness itself, not to celebrate its contrast, but to absorb and exhaust it, transforming the canvas from within. The dark is not preserved as a mere aesthetic tool but is overcome by a light that re-creates, making the once-stained sections not just contrasting, but radiantly new. Therefore, to rule with holy authority like David is to mirror this divine method—to hate the darkness with a pure passion, yet to love the potential masterpiece within the marred canvas so deeply that one sacrifices to restore it, ruling not with a detached brush, but with a pierced hand.

"Darkness represents an active assault on God's holiness. In His wisdom, God even uses spiritual warfare and trials as tools for correction and refinement. While the powers of darkness rebel against Him consciously, humanity fell under its sway through deception. Yet, God's love for humanity remains steadfast. His holiness, however, demands that those who are being sanctified live set apart for His purposes."
