When Adam and Eve sinned, they took on the identity of sin and rejected their God-given identity.
For it is written: "Man was made in the likeness of God."
Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them
God gave us the sacrificial law so that, like sheep among beasts, we might be covered—until Christ, the perfect Lamb, paid once and for all for our transgressions.
Now, in Christ, we bear His image and His identity. Alleluia! Glory to God!
Romans 8:29
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers
Anyone who rejects Christ continue to have the identity of sin.
Be careful of those who seek their identity in idols or horoscopes.
For it is also written that anyone who bears the image of the beast will take part of the lake of fire.
Revelation 19
20But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Those who are in Christ bear His image and His identity and produce the Fruits of the Spirit for they are Spirit-led. Alleluia, Glory to God!
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
