When God thought of man, love was tested in Heaven, so naturally man’s love for God was also going to be tested. God knew bringing us forth would come at a cost.

Would the angel still have reverential love for God?

—What about man?

Would man still have sacrificial love for God?

Sadly, one third of the angels failed to love, and so did two thirds of mankind—they both went to destruction, rebelling against God and serving their own desires, and bringing forth abominations in the process.

But it is finished. God has set a day to restore the harmony in the universe, where love, peace, and joy will be everlasting.

Adam lease is up!

Revelation 22:13

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Love is protective, reverential and sacrificial. Out of reverence we seek to please.

In the garden,

We observed three types of love

  • Protective love from God

  • Reverential love from Eve

  • Sacrificial love from Adam

In the beginning, God created Adam and from his side gave him a bride and the promise of descendants..

In a powerful parallel, we see Jesus, who sacrificed His own body not only to gain a bride but also to bring forth children. His sacrifice was the ultimate act of love for the Father.

True love points to others, not the self.

Eve lusted on the tree of knowledge of good and Evil, her reverential love turned into self-love. Adam lusted on his wife and his sacrificial love turned into love for his wife.

Adam was meant to love God, and Eve was meant to love Adam. Instead, Adam loved Eve above God, and Eve acted out of self-love. This kind of love is not sustainable.

Jesus gave you two greatest commandments: to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. He also said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

Many fail to understand that if you disobey these two greatest commandments, you cannot truly love Jesus. This is because Jesus's very nature is to love His Father and His neighbor.

This failure alone disqualifies many who claim to belong to Jesus from being part of His flock.

If your love for yourself drives you to hate your neighbor, you are not honoring the Good Shepherd—you are serving the evil one.

"Husbands, love your wives as Christ loves the Church. A bride is designed to have a reverential love for her bridegroom, but she can easily feel unloved without the constant reassurance of his love in return."
